The GameCube

GameCube-Console-Set.png

Christened as the purple lunch box, released in 2001. It was designed with a handle for literal pick up and play multiplayer. It’s Nintendo’s first disc-based system and the 2nd most powerful console of the sixth generation. It had specialized controllers where every button feels different for divergent feedback.

Third place in its time of race, and its discs were small, it arguably has a strong backbone of a library that makes it first place in the hearts of many gamers, with a library that lasts after all. Whether you’re having crazy four-player sessions in the kinetic Super Smash Bros. Melee, or you’re getting immersed in the desolate Metroid Prime atmosphere, GameCube is Born To Play.
