The Game Boy is a Nintendo handheld console that came to life in 1989. Throughout the many different colours and models, it was being sold until around 2008.

 

The Game Boy started life with an 8-bit display lacking any backlight - you couldn't play this in the dark. In spite of that, it went on to host a bunch of timeless titles that many fans still hold near and dear to themselves.

 

For many, this is a childhood classic, and the console grew alongside them.
